I float from being anxiety-ridden about this journey called life to really feeling deep down that the only way to do this is just live it and be grateful for the ride. I mean, really, this is the most amazing adventure there is. Ironically, it when things start looking more 'adventurous' that I have a tendency to freak out at the magnitude and uncertainty of it all.

I mean, the more you risk, the more it probably hurts if you fall flat on your face.

Still, even knowing this, I'm feeling more the 'live it' philosophy today, and I feel like my boy and I are in for the wildest ride of our lives. (Maybe I shouldn't still call him my 'boy' since he's almost 23 and my husband, but then, who cares, he's my boy.)

I'm feeling magnificent today, truth be told.

I told myself today, when I was having partifularly negative thoughts about the whole 2 pounds that I've gained, "I love you anyway." Its the first time in my life that I told myself that with any conviction at all. I've never really loved myself before. In fact, for the last few years, I've just been feeling really good that I'd gotten to where I like myself about 80% of the time. And then today, pow. And I meant it. And it has changed my whole morning.

I just love the world and life today.
